I had the pleasure to fish with Matt Vaccaro yesterday in search of some redfish and snook in very skinny water....on fly. Needless to say it did not take but five minutes to see tails and backs on the low tide. Matt made a mid- to upper-slot red turn on himself looking for the Corona Toad, but the hook would not connect. We had several shots but ended up with one red and one snook to show for the day on 6-weight. gear. The skinny conditions did not last long, as the full moon tide pushed water in very quickly. We did get some great shots of the Ankona ShadowCast. You will be able to tell what pics he shot and what ones I shot....
The tides only get better from here on out for sight casting to reds on fly......
