Everybody’s been waiting for this news. The herring are in. They arrived Sunday and the Elizabeth cashed in with a limit of bass up to around twenty pounds. But it may be a big whoop-de-dam-do, since a lot of boats are already out of the water. I took a pass by Gosman’s this morning and only saw one boat, the Sea Wife, out there getting bait.
The bottom fishing continues great, especially the blackfishing over at Southwest Ledge. South of Block Island the porgy fishing is good.
